Job description
Project/Program Manager of Transformation
Remote - Successful candidate must live in a state in which Point Broadband operates (AL, FL, GA, IL, KS, MD, MI, NY, OH, TN, TX, or VA) #LI-remote
Summary:
The Project/Program Manager, Transformation is the execution engine and project tracking backbone of the Transformation program. This role owns the sprint cycle, manages cross-workstream dependencies, maintains the initiative intake queue, and produces all program status reporting across AI, automation, and tooling workstreams. This role must be exceptionally organized, proactive in surfacing blockers, and comfortable holding technical and business teams accountable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:
- During program stand-up, build the intake process, scoring template, sprint tracking system, and meeting cadence so the team is operationally ready before the first sprint activates.
- Own the sprint cycle end-to-end, tracking tasks, owners, and blockers across IT, Data & Analytics, and business teams for all active initiatives.
- Maintain the cross-workstream dependency log and escalate conflicts between concurrent initiatives before they create delays.
- Manage the initiative intake queue, ensuring all submissions are routed through the scoring process with the Business Process Manager before reaching IT.
- Produce all program status reporting, including cadenced sprint reviews and portfolio summaries for leadership.
- Own the program calendar and meeting rhythm. Prepare agendas, capture decisions, and distribute action items in advance of each session.
- Coordinate with IT, Data & Analytics, People Operations, and business owner liaisons to track commitments and surface risks across extended program accountabilities.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- 5+ years of experience in program coordination or project management within a transformation, technology, or consulting environment.
- Experience managing sprint or agile-style work cycles across mixed initiative types. Formal agile or project management certification (e.g., Scrum Master, CAPM, PMP) a plus.
- Exceptionally organized with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, maintain accurate tracking systems, and flag issues before they escalate.
- Comfortable holding senior stakeholders and technical teams accountable when commitments slip, without being adversarial.
- Experience producing executive-ready status reporting that is clear, concise, and requires minimal editing before presentation.
- Proficiency with sprint and project tracking platforms (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet). Able to build tracking systems from scratch, not just administer existing ones.
- Strong written communication skills; able to translate program activity into clear updates for both technical and business audiences.
- Experience in telecom or a similarly complex operational environment a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Additional Computer Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart), BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and enterprise LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) a plus.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, listen, and communicate effectively.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, bend at the knees and waist, and walk.
- Required to use hands to type, handle objects and paperwork.
- Required to use close vision and be able to focus.
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
Benefits:
