Position Overview

Pathways to Wholeness Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our remote team in Norwalk, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to accurately evaluate clients' mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based techniques, and humanistic approaches.
  • Facilitate individual, couples, and group therapy sessions, adapting your approach to suit clients from various backgrounds and with different needs.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive holistic and well-rounded care.
  • Maintain meticulous and secure client records in compliance with ethical guidelines and relevant legal requirements.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay informed of best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a wide range of clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, addiction, and anxiety. The emphasis on a culturally competent approach allows you to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, fostering trust and encouraging open dialogue. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their emotional struggles, supporting their journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active LPCA license in the state of Connecticut is required.
  • A Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting both individual and group therapy within a mental health setting.
  • A solid understanding and proficiency in applying evidence-based therapeutic methods relevant to diverse client populations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A strong commitment to ethical practice and the safeguarding of client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of direct experience in a counseling role, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
  • Experience using telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services is highly preferred.
  • Training in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as trauma-informed care, is a plus.
