Physician Assistant (PA) – Behavioral Health

At Pathways, our PAs don't sit on the sidelines. You're part of the clinical engine driving care for individuals with complex mental health needs.

What You'll Be Doing (Real Talk)
  • Conduct assessments that go beyond surface-level—understanding the full picture (medical + behavioral health)
  • Manage and prescribe medications with confidence and clinical judgment
  • Work side-by-side with psychiatrists, therapists, and care teams (ACTT, CST, IIH, TCM)
  • Be involved in treatment planning—not just signing off on it
  • Support high-risk members who need more than a quick visit
  • Document your work in a way that stands up to audits (because compliance matters here)

What You Bring to the Table
  • Licensed Physician Assistant in North Carolina
  • NCCPA certification
  • DEA (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort with behavioral health populations
