Position Description
This position is for shift supervisor in our stocking department with warehouse or distribution center experience. The schedule expectation is 40+ hours a week with a 3:30PM start time. This position requires movement to work in other departments during different shifts as the business needs. Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of hourly employees, ensuring that both customer service and internal measures are held to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
  • Responsible for good customer service through out department and collaborate with other departments.
  • Assists in resolving order errors or discrepancies.
  • Monitors loading progression to ensure routes depart on time.
  • Promote and foster an atmosphere of good customer service throughout the department.
  • Communicates customers expectations and load quality requirements.
  • Coaches and develops employees in proper loading procedures.

Expenses and Productivity
  • Keeps employees on task.
  • Monitors individual employee productivity and quality results.
  • Strives to meet finish time goals and reduce overtime.
  • Accountability for maintaining turnover and retention.

Other Duties
  • Able to manage time efficiently. Handle multiple tasks and complete priorities.
  • Ability to coach, develop and facilitate individual team members as it relates to overall team performance.
  • Establish good working relationships with other departments.
  • Uphold, support and maintain company safety standard at all time.
Human Resource Management
  • Ensure staffing levels are maintained in order to provide superior customer service with minimal overtime and non-productive time.
  • Promote teamwork and superior levels of achievement throughout the distribution center.
  • Promote a labor relation's climate that provides for employee's involvement and teamwork with a dedication to customer service.
  • Accountable for maintaining turnover and retention levels at an acceptable level.
  • Ability to coach, develop and facilitate individual team members as it relates to overall team performance.
  • Uphold, support and maintain company safety standards at all times.

Personal Qualities
  • Approachable person who can communicate at all levels.
  • Must be able to handle adversity, react quickly and maintain positive attitude.
  • Articulate, with good communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent PC skills in google suite of products
  • Motivated to excel and instill the same quality in subordinates
  • Must be able to meet KPI's and company goals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma. Some College preferred.
  • Must have previous experience managing employees or being a team lead.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Understanding of supply chain or MRP and pull system desired.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Must be willing and able to work more than 40 hours when needed.
  • Good comprehension and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player with a can do attitude.
  • Power Equipment certification a plus.
  • Show ability to lead others in fast-paced, high-quality work environment.
  • Articulate with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiently use personal computer and Google applications.
