Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Anodizing Supervisor and is responsible for performing chemical analysis, maintaining anodizing equipment, monitoring quality, and ensuring safe and efficient anodizing processes.

Requirements

  • Effectively wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), practice thorough safety awareness, follow all

                  safety policies and procedures throughout the shift

  • Daily chemical analysis and adjustments, including pH testing and chemical makeup of various anodizing tanks
  • Responsible for dumping and replenishing chemical process tanks and rinse tanks
  • Monitor waste treatment systems, and perform quality testing to ensure products meet specifications
  • Prepare materials for anodizing process
  • Stay up to date with equipment and laboratory duties
  • Operate and maintain anodizing equipment, to include tanks, filters, and instrumentation
  • Perform calibration of lab instruments, maintain organized chemical storage areas, ensure cleanliness and safety in lab
  • Ability to use standard lab equipment such as pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers
  • Forklift operation for chemical transport
  • Competence in recording and managing accurate lab data
  • Able to understand manifest, delivery of chemicals, and bill of ladings
  • Own the process, understand the workflow, build employee relations, and learn the processes through hands on experience alongside crew and management team
  • Participate and support all team activities and initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively with employees, coworkers, and upper management
  • Must be a team player who is willing to directly assist the team as needed
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to perform job role with minimum management supervision
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability required
  • Able to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, multitask, and effectively prioritize

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours per shift
  • Able to work overtime as deemed necessary
  • Lift, push, pull or move up to 50 lbs. individually or up to 75 lbs. with a partner
  • Respiratory fit testing may be required due to chemical exposure
  • Properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Technicians must adhere to strict safety and environmental regulations
