Job description

We are a Brooklyn-based design-build firm specializing in hospitality construction for restaurants, cafés, hotels, and commercial spaces. Since 2012, we have completed more than 200 successful projects, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and exceptional service. Many of our clients are Japanese-owned businesses, and we pride ourselves on delivering projects that exceed expectations from concept through completion.

We are looking for an organized and motivated Assistant Construction Manager to support multiple hospitality construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career while working alongside an experienced project management team.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare project estimates using construction drawings and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules based on field conditions and project timelines.
  • Assist with subcontractor bidding, buyouts, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Prepare weekly project reports and meeting minutes.
  • Help resolve project issues and support successful project delivery.
  • Assist with project documentation and closeout activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial construction, hospitality construction, or project management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Japanese language skills are preferred but not required.
