Job description

Numerator is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead our Retail vertical, focusing on expanding adoption of our audience insights, consumer intelligence, and ad effectiveness solutions. Numerator's proprietary panel and survey-based products provide the most complete view of the modern consumer-who they are, what they buy, and how they respond to advertising. This role is critical in helping retailers transform data into strategic advantage.
You will lead a high-performing sales team to deepen relationships with strategic accounts, and drive new business across the retailer ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of enterprise sales, deep fluency in FMCG or retail industry, and a consultative approach to solving executive-level challenges.
Skills & Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in senior leadership, managing enterprise sales teams within media, retail or FMCG industries.
  • Deep understanding of multiple facets of retailer, agency and consumer products with prior experience selling into marketing, shopper or consumer insights
  • Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams, with a proven track record in hiring top talent, developing skills through coaching and training, and driving team accountability to exceed targets.
  • Demonstrated success selling into Marketing, Insights, Strategy, Ad Sales, and Analytics functions at the executive level.
  • Expertise in sales strategy, pipeline management, and team development.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; persuasive storyteller with data-backed credibility.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and standard sales productivity tools.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, NPD, Dunnhumby)
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
