Position Specific Description

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), under the direction of a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner, will lead and manage strategic support and partnerships with various business units within NextEra Energy, primarily in high-growth business units throughout NextEra Energy Resources. The Associate HRBP will work with business unit leaders to drive effective HR strategies with a focus on talent management, diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition, organizational effectiveness, and change management. This position will be remote-based in the Midwest and requires proximity to a major airport, in accordance with business needs.

The applicable candidate must be able to support the Company's Florida storm restoration efforts in an HR capacity, as needed.

Job Overview

Employees in this role provide consultation and analysis to designated business unit leaders on strategic HR initiatives including talent and succession planning, cultural assessment, organization design and capabilities, targeted recruiting, diversity and change

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develops effective human resource strategies for designated business units in the areas of labor, diversity and inclusion and employee engagement 
  • Projects and assesses talent requirements based upon the changing markets and business needs 
  • Develops robust and active succession plans supported by leadership and talent development 
  • Proactively identifies employee and labor concerns through cultural assessments 
  • Facilitates change management activities to ensure business needs are not unnecessarily disrupted 
  • Provides specialized, solution-oriented consultation helping leaders identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes 
  • Partners with HR Business Advisors and HR Shared Services to develop HR policies and practices, conduct detailed analysis and offer best-in-class solutions 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Senior Professional in HR Certification
