Please Note:

  • Prior experience in process analysis and procedure development is required; utility or regulated-industry experience is highly preferred.
  • You are not required to report into a Mosaic office; however, there is travel to client locations across the United States required for this role. (~50%)
  • Geographic flexibility: This position is open to candidates residing anywhere in the US.


Position Overview

The Senior Consultant, Process Enablement (SCPE) works closely with clients and the Mosaic project team to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows. This individual interacts with various roles and levels within the client organization and is expected to build credibility and trust to be effective. This individual must display a high attention to detail and be able to establish effective working relationships with clients and business representatives.


The SCPE is responsible for assessing, optimizing, and enhancing business processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The SCPE will have experience in business process modeling, data analysis, and process improvement methodologies, along with the ability to collaborate across departments to drive operational efficiency. The SCPE will have consulting experience as well as project experience.


The SCPE will identify inefficiencies, document workflows, and implement process improvements that align with business goals. They will play a key role in recommending and managing process changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leveraging technology to enhance automation and efficiency. The SCPE will solve complex challenges, drive continuous improvement.


Depending on client project availability, this individual may be given internal business process assignments.


Roles and Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of the Senior Consultant Process Enablement role are as follows:

  • Analyze and evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops with client subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Gather, document, and maintain business requirements using Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications.
  • Develop and document clear process maps and workflow visualizations to effectively communicate business processes.
  • Ensure alignment of business processes with project and organizational goals through data collection and evaluation.
  • Support business process reviews, utilizing various media formats such as process flows, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Meet annual billable hours requirements.


To effectively respond to client and project needs, roles and responsibilities will vary and may include additional responsibilities not listed.

Skills and Experience

Business Analysis & Process Improvement:

  • Proven ability to develop business requirements, process mapping, instructional documentation, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating business processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience preparing and facilitating workshops and focus groups.
  • Experience developing business requirements.
  • Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.
  • Demonstrated skills in process mapping.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather data, perform data analysis, and draw conclusions to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of business modeling terminology.


Technical & Tools Proficiency:

  • Experience with process modeling tools such as BPMN, UML, Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects for trend analysis and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and project management concepts.
  • Understanding of process automation and optimization techniques.


Communication & Collaboration:

  • Strong ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences in an engaging, clear manner including advanced skills to translate technical findings into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and high-quality documentation.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across IT, operations, finance, and other departments within Mosaic and client organizations.
  • Ability to effectively work with client executives at Director, VP, SVP and C-Suite level.


Industry & Compliance Knowledge:

  • Experience in regulated industries such as utilities or financial services is a plus.
  • Ability to ensure processes align with industry standards and risk management frameworks.


Working Relationships

  • Internal: Collaborates effectively with employees, leaders, and cross-functional teams across the organization to share information, solve problems, support business objectives, and foster a collaborative work environment while demonstrating Mosaic's values in daily interactions.
  • External: Develops trustworthy relationships with client and project stakeholders. Works independently in and navigates effectively through ambiguous and political client environments.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Technology, Finance or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Compensation decisions are made based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, consulting experience, education and training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed reflects a good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. A reasonable national base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program of up to 10% of annual compensation, subject to individual and organizational performance. In addition to salary and bonus eligibility, Mosaic offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness benefits, a Flexible Time Off program, paid holidays, a discretionary 401(k) match, and for US based employees, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).


Salary Range Notice: The salary range listed for this position applies to candidates located in the United States. Compensation for candidates outside the U.S. will be determined based on local market conditions, legal requirements, and other job-related factors.
