IT Systems Administrator | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Manage and support all manufacturing-specific software applications, such as MES and SCADA.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive manufacturing data and intellectual property.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues across the production floor.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and configurations.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure operational uptime.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as an IT Systems Administrator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing and troubleshooting Windows Server environments (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS).
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) cybersecurity best practices.
  • Ability to provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues in a production setting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing context (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS).
