Job description

WE'RE HIRING
Human Resources Generalist
College Park, GA • Full-Time
Our client, that has been established for over 40 years, specializes in technical systems that keep modern manufacturing running, and we know that great people are what make great production floors work. We're looking for a Human Resources Generalist who genuinely enjoys the variety of plant-floor HR: one day you're coaching a supervisor through a tough conversation, the next you're closing out a new-hire class, and the day after that you're the reason open enrollment goes smoothly.
This is a hands-on, on-site, high-trust role. You'll be the go-to HR presence for employees and leaders across our facility center, someone who can move fluidly between the shop floor and the front office, and who takes real ownership of the people side of the business.
Growth path: strong performance and completion of structured mentoring in this Generalist role can lead to promotion to a higher HR position.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Serving as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflicts - and following through with fair, well-documented resolutions.
  • Coaching supervisors on performance management, coaching conversations, and corrective action.
  • Owning full-cycle recruiting for production, skilled trades, and salaried roles - from sourcing through offer.
  • Running new-hire on boarding, orientation, and safety training so new employees start off strongly.
  • Managing benefits enrollment and being the friendly face employees turn to with insurance questions.
  • Keeping HR programs - leaves of absence, compliance training, personnel records - organized and audit-ready.
  • Digging into HRIS data to spot trends in turnover, absenteeism, and staffing needs before they become problems.
  • Partnering with plant leadership on everything from compensation reviews to culture-building initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Solid grounding in employment law - FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, and workers' compensation - and the judgment to apply it practically.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.
  • A natural ability to build trust with people at every level, from the floor to the front office.
  • Comfort with HRIS/payroll systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Sharp organizational instincts and the discretion to handle confidential information with care.
  • Flexibility to occasionally support different shifts, including nights or weekends, as production needs require.

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with a very nice company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Profit Sharing
  • Complementary Lunch on Friday (if company achieves a increase in profit the quarter before.... Have not missed one quarter in past 10 years)
  • A role where your work visibly shapes the culture and success of the plant - not one that gets lost in a large HQ team.

Ready to bring your HR expertise to a fast-paced manufacturing team? We'd love to hear from you - apply today.
The company is an equal opportunity employer.
