Who We Are

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking an Engineer Logistics 4 to join our Integrated Product Support (IPS) team in San Diego, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, fastpaced group of engineers, designers, planners, and PMAs. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a team environment and can provide comprehensive on-site Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) in support of LCS Planning Yard efforts.

What You Will Do
  • Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment.
  • Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
  • Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
  • Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
  • Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
  • Performing as a proven project leader.
  • Working as an active duty or civilian equivalent, 3M Coordinator or Work Center Supervisor.
  • Leading and performing sight validation of logistically significant equipment on Navy ships.
  • Using CDMD-OA or MBPS to maintain configuration of ship's equipment
  • Developing, checking and submitting CDMD-OA or MBPS work files.
  • Providing subject matter expert representation to Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings, weekly availability production meetings or modernization /maintenance planning conferences
  • Providing direct assistance to Navy activities including research and resolution of concerns related to Technical Documentation, Allowable Part Lists, Technical Drawings, Preventative Maintenance System (PMS), Spares, Support and Test Equipment, CASREP resolution, and training as required.
What You Must Have
  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have experience reading and understanding Navy ship Installation drawings.
  • Candidate must have working knowledge of a Navy ship's HME or Warfare System configuration.
  • Candidate must have experience conducting maintenance/modernization support
  • Candidate must demonstrat knowledge of LCS ships and equipment, specifically power and electrical systems.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Bonus Points For Having!
  • Obtaining CDMD-OA or MBPS Certification.
  • Experience providing ILS support to Navy ships, preferably LCS INDEPENDENCE Variant.
  • CDMD-OA, NDE or MBPS Trained.
Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
