Job Purpose
The ProSolutions Shop Supervisor leads and manages daily operations of the Herc Rentals ProSolutions shop. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality service, repair, and maintenance of specialty equipment, supporting the ProSolutions team's mission to deliver top-tier solutions for customers. The Shop Supervisor is responsible for supervising shop staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring all equipment meets Herc Rentals' safety and performance standards.
What you will do...
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate activities of service technicians and shop personnel.
  • Oversee inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of ProSolutions equipment (pumps, generators, climate control, etc.).
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Herc Rentals safety policies and government regulations.
  • Mentor and train technicians, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies; ensure timely ordering and receipt of equipment.
  • Conduct regular shop audits for cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Inspect outgoing equipment to verify proper function and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with branch staff and other departments to support business operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Document and report on shop metrics, including work order completion rates, maintenance schedules, and cost controls.
  • Troubleshoot complex repair issues and provide hands-on technical assistance as needed.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required); technical/vocational training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment service, fleet maintenance, or related field.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience in a shop or service environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • Proven understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems relevant to ProSolutions equipment.
  • Experience with OSHA and other safety standards.
