Job description

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) - ON CALL

Located in Seymour WI 15-20 minutes from Green Bay/Appleton

ON CALL OBLIGATIONS:

Must work a minimum of (16) hours per month - with (8) hours being on a weekday and (8) being on a weekend

WAGE: $20.00 + Shift Differentials ($2.00 shift differential for Days and $4.00 shift differential for PM or NOC)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you start each workday ready to treat each patient with care and companionship. Your top priority is to create a safe and welcoming environment. You will be caring for the residents in a variety of ways primarily with daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, colostomy care, transferring, walking, prosthetic appliances, positioning, and range of motion exercises. You are dedicated to serving those entrusted to us with dignity, respect, and compassion. You strive to provide extraordinary care while creating moments of joy and a sense of belonging. Your positive attitude allows you to have an amazing interaction with each patient you interact with. You do everything you can to preserve their dignity, as you provide the individualized care that they need.

Your attention to detail allows you to keep accurate records as required. You maintain a calm and patient demeanor while treating patients. You are vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of residents to the supervising nurse to ensure that all medical needs are properly met. You also assist with specific tasks under the supervision of the nurse such as recording vital signs and weights, applying non-prescription creams/ointments, and collecting specimens. At the end of each day, you may go home tired, but you feel amazing knowing you have impacted the lives of many within your community.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CNA

  • Current on the Wisconsin Registry
  • Ability to perform physical tasks typically performed in CNA work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
