Job description

Overview
Provide business support to our Training Services team, enabling us to empower our customers to solve the world's problems with GIS. Analyze department pricing, revenue, costs, and processes to ensure profitability. Communicate recommendations to department leadership team and work with department leaders to manage risk and budgets. Collaborate with team members to improve strategies, processes, and policies that allow Esri to expand user adoption and awareness of Esri's software.
Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the Training Services leadership team to define and implement business initiatives and operational plans in support of product and revenue objectives, including pricing strategies
  • Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and other documentation that provides insight into business processes, policies, and performance
  • Initiate, negotiate, administer, and enforce various types of agreements with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Identify, research, and solve a wide range of business-related issues, including customer or other stakeholder concerns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement improvements to business processes to enhance efficiency and further improve controls
  • Evaluate business operations for compliance with corporate, industry, and government standards
  • Lead the effort to manage Training Services products on the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) schedule, inform GSA contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with Esri's GSA contract
  • Lead revenue verification to ensure that revenue is billed and received as expected
  • Collaborate with other department team managers to ensure the success of cross-team business workflows and processes
  • Prepare P&L statements and analysis and present recommendations to the leadership team

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience supporting business operations in areas such as revenue accounting and recognition, risk management, contract review and negotiations, and/or process improvement
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to build consensus with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to use influence to lead people and projects
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
