If you are a hands-on manufacturing engineer looking to leverage your technical expertise to drive operational excellence, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. Based in our Chanhassen, MN facility within Pressure Operations, you will provide technical leadership and process ownership for a critical area of our production line, ensuring quality, reliability, and efficiency goals are achieved. 

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process capability, enhance equipment performance, and drive continuous improvement. This is a high-impact opportunity to solve complex manufacturing challenges in a highly technical production environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Serving as the manufacturing engineering owner for assigned production processes, including welding, helium leak testing, vacuum oil filling, and ultrasonic oil-level measurement
  • Providing daily technical support to production teams to resolve process, equipment, quality, throughput, and yield issues
  • Retrieving data from databases and perform comprehensive analysis to identify trends within processes to support issue resolution and/or continuous improvement opportunities
  • Leading complex projects from idea to implementation, utilizing cross-functional team members to ensure all organizational deliverables are achieved
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enable integration of enhanced production capabilities

Who You Are:

You seek ways to improve processes, from small tweaks to complete reengineering with an eagerness to learn mindset brought to the table each day. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups. You are decisive and make high-quality decisions, even when based on incomplete information or in the face of uncertainty. You push yourself and help others achieve results.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Demonstrated history of leading troubleshooting efforts related to weld defects, including porosity, cracking, contamination, and inconsistent weld quality
  • Experience with hermetic sealing requirements and leak-rate interpretation
  • Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment, PLC-controlled systems, HMI’s, sensors, motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, or machine guarding
  • Proficiency in SQL syntax and querying tools
  • Welding, quality, Lean Six Sigma, project management, or related technical certifications
