Cross Country Education is seeking a School Services School Special Education Teacher for a local contract job in Chicago, Illinois.

Help high school students overcome barriers and reach graduation. Cross Country Education is hiring 8 dedicated LBS1 Special Education Teachers to support student success during the 2026–2027 school year in Chicago, IL.
Position Overview:
Deliver specialized instruction for high school students with mild-to-moderate disabilities.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student's academic, social, and emotional needs.
Build meaningful relationships with students while using positive behavior management and crisis intervention strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build flexible, student-centered learning environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement for high school
Experience supporting high-risk or opportunity youth preferred
Strong behavior management, crisis intervention, and collaborative problem-solving skills
