Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. This hourly position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and involves operating presses, assisting machine operators, removing and assembling parts, packaging, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The Production Associate plays a key role in ensuring efficient production flow and quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain regular attendance and work effectively in a team environment.
- Assist machine operators by removing parts from presses, separating scrap, and assembling components.
- Interpret company work orders and job control procedures to achieve production goals with accuracy.
- Prepare materials, assemble totes, skids, bags, and boxes for packaging.
- Package and label parts, stack or move them to storage or the next operation.
- Ensure safety devices are in place and report unsafe behaviors or situations.
- Keep workstations and equipment clean, tidy, and safe.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Leader.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience using hand tools and operating equipment.
- Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on lifts and ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with press operations and assembly processes.
