WinClient Touch Services Technician L3

 

Location: Onsite – Hillsboro, Oregon

 

Hours Worked M-F 8a-5 Hillsboro, OR 97124 **Expense for boots limited to $130

 

Job Overview:
The WinClient Touch Services Technician L3 is responsible for supporting and sustaining factory computing hardware, including WinClient systems, Remote Operations Center (ROC) workstations, and various factory network components. This role provides hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for both software and hardware, resolving issues at the system, module, and component levels.

You will collaborate closely with IT Networks, Windows, GOS Service Desk, and Process Integration (PI) teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. In addition to technical support, you will assist with parts management including ordering, forecasting, inventory tracking, and proper disposal of used equipment.

This position requires strong ownership, the ability to multitask, and effective communication with customers, onsite technicians, and hardware/software specialists.


Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair factory computing hardware and software issues on WinClient systems and ROC workstations
• Perform system-level, module-level, and component-level diagnostics
• Support Windows-based imaging, configuration, and deployment
• Interface with IT Networks, Windows teams, GOS Service Desk, and PI to resolve complex issues
• Assist with parts management (ordering, stocking, forecasting, and disposal of used equipment)
• Provide timely updates and maintain strong communication with customers and technical teams
• Prioritize and manage multiple factory support tasks simultaneously
• Maintain required documentation for repairs, replacements, and equipment tracking
• Support factory sustaining activities and project-based assignments
• Work in a cleanroom environment as needed


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on technical support experience
• Experience with Windows imaging and deployment
• Intermediate-level Windows OS troubleshooting skills (Windows 7, 8, and 10)
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. independently
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, crawl, or kneel for extended periods
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Cleanroom experience preferred but not required
