Job description

ENGLISH

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Digital Designerto join their team remotely. This resource can be based in the US or in Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Visual Strategy and Leadership
  • Define and lead digital design strategy, UX / UI, and brand implementation
  • Build on existing design system with a focus on sustainability and expandability that optimizes and enhances the user experience across web properties
  • Develop and champion brand guidelines, design systems, and component libraries to ensure consistency across digital properties
  • Lead design discovery, concept development, and design execution for new site builds, redesigns, and web portions of digital campaigns
  • Serve as the primary design voice in cross-functional teams (marketing, product, development, etc.)
 
Design Execution
  • Execute front end development work, as needed, in collaboration with in-house developers and agency development teams
  • Translate marketing, content, and UX strategy into compelling and functional visual experiences
  • Oversee the design of responsive, user-friendly interfaces that adhere to accessibility and usability best practices
  • Create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and style guides for digital initiatives
 
Collaboration and Oversight
  • Collaborate with content strategists, developers, and marketing stakeholders to align design with business goals and technical requirements
  • Provide art direction, mentorship, and quality assurance for in-house and external designers / agencies
  • Review and approve final designs before development handoff and post-launch QA
 
Brand Stewardship
  • Act as a Client of the brand, ensuring cohesive representation across all digital assets
  • Conduct regular design audits of digital properties to ensure brand alignment and identify opportunities for improvement

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in digital design, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior design role
  • Strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design, UI systems, and brand identity work
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, typography, layout, and color theory
  • Understanding of and ability to advocate for SEO / AEO / GEO best practices as they apply to web design
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision)
  • Fluency with HTML CSS, Javascript, and related libraries
  • Fluency with CMS platforms, and Adobe Experience Manager, in particular
  • Fluency with WCAG AA guidelines and requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Experience working within an Agile or collaborative team environment
  • Passion for design excellence and a user-first mindset
  • Ability to balance creative vision with practical implementation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience designing for B2B, SaaS, or multi-brand environments is a plus
  • Ability to educate and guide colleagues in web design best practices, their impact on related workstreams, and their practical application across owned digital assets

Wage Range:
The rate for this position is between $65.24 - $78.97 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Responsabilités:
Stratégie visuelle et leadership
  • Définir et piloter la stratégie de conception numérique, l’UX/UI et la mise en œuvre de l’identité de marque.
  • Développer le système de design existant en mettant l’accent sur la durabilité et l’évolutivité afin d’optimiser et d’améliorer l’expérience utilisateur sur l’ensemble des propriétés Web.
  • Élaborer et promouvoir les lignes directrices de la marque, les systèmes de design et les bibliothèques de composants afin d’assurer une cohérence sur toutes les plateformes numériques.
  • Diriger les phases de découverte, de conceptualisation et d’exécution du design pour les nouveaux sites Web, les refontes de sites et les volets Web des campagnes numériques.
  • Agir comme principal porte-parole de la conception au sein des équipes multidisciplinaires (marketing, produit, développement, etc.).
 
Exécution du design

Collaboration et supervision
  • Collaborer avec les stratèges de contenu, les développeurs et les parties prenantes du marketing afin d’aligner la conception sur les objectifs d’affaires et les exigences techniques.
  • Fournir une direction artistique, du mentorat et une assurance qualité aux designers internes ainsi qu’aux designers et agences externes.
  • Examiner et approuver les conceptions finales avant leur transfert aux équipes de développement et effectuer des vérifications qualité après le lancement.
 
Gestion et protection de la marque
  • Agir en tant que gardien de la marque, en veillant à une représentation cohérente sur l’ensemble des actifs numériques.
  • Réaliser régulièrement des audits de conception des propriétés numériques afin d’assurer la conformité à l’identité de marque et de repérer les occasions d’amélioration.
 
Compétences et qualifications:
  • Baccalauréat en design graphique, en médias numériques ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Minimum de 7 ans d’expérience en design numérique, dont au moins 2 ans dans un rôle de direction ou de designer senior.
  • Solide portfolio démontrant une expertise en conception Web adaptative (responsive), en systèmes d’interface utilisateur (UI) et en identité de marque.
  • Excellente maîtrise des principes UX/UI, de la typographie, de la mise en page et de la théorie des couleurs.
