About the Role

Cloudflare's People team supports 5,000+ employees globally. To scale, we are building an AI-driven operating layer on the Cloudflare Developer Platform to automate workflows, ensure data integrity, and streamline employee support.

You will ship production systems for hiring, onboarding, and self-service, using AI to create leverage while designing rigorous guardrails for sensitive employee data.

Leveraging Cloudflare Dev Platform primitives like Workers, Workflows, Access, Hyperdrive (Postgres), R2, and Workers AI / AI Gateway for durable, secure, and observable automation.

Responsibilities
  • AI-assisted intake for request classification, retrieval-augmented responses, and case routing.
  • Recruiting automation for Greenhouse job creation and management chain synchronization.
  • Self-service tools for policy guidance, approvals, and employee lifecycle changes.
  • Durable multi-step Workflows for onboarding, offboarding, and recurring audits.
  • AI copilots that summarize context and suggest next actions for human review.
  • Data reconciliation systems and exception queues for cross-system accuracy.
  • Observable audit pipelines for explainable decision-making.
  • Custom interview automation and internal technical assessment tooling.
  • Design and operate AI-assisted workflows using the full Cloudflare stack.
  • Integrate People systems via secure API, OAuth, and webhook patterns.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Legal, and Security to translate operational pain into technical solutions.
  • Implement robust authorization, audit logging, and error handling for high-trust data.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Strong engineering background (TypeScript, Python, or Go) building internal tools or platform services.
  • Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, and prompt evaluation.
  • Expertise in system-to-system integrations, identity, and event-driven workflows.
  • Exceptional judgment regarding privacy, data minimization, and operational risk.
Bonus Points
  • Prior experience in internal platform engineering or compliance-heavy environments.
  • Proficiency with React, Drizzle, Zod, and Postgres.
