Full Time P&C Insurance Underwriter

We are looking for a full time P&C Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance industry and be proficient in using insurance software.


The primary responsibility of the P&C Insurance Underwriter is to evaluate and underwrite insurance applications. This includes reviewing the applicant's information, such as their credit history and financial statements, to determine the risk of insuring them. The Underwriter will also need to be able to negotiate with the applicant to reach an agreement on the terms of the policy.


In addition to underwriting, the P&C Insurance Underwriter will also be responsible for providing quotes to customers, issuing policies, and handling claims. The Underwriter will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will also need to be able to meet deadlines and handle stress well.


Qualifications for the position include:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using insurance software
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle stress well
