Associate, Product Assessment

About the role:

CHANEL is looking for an Associate Product Assessment to join our Fashion After-Sales Team in Piscataway, NJ. This person willbe responsible forassistingwith the day-to-day After-Sales operations, handling all incoming stock and client repairs. This role will work directly with our Client Relations, Quality Operations, and Workshop Atelier on all functions related to product assessment and repairs. Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of retail or corporate experience, and a passion for product and client experience.

What impact you can create at CHANEL:

Product Assessment

  • Perform daily assessments on incoming stock and client repairs, ensuring assessments are being performed within lead time
  • Ensure proper steps are completed to complete product assessments - including identifying repair service selection, product identification, authentication, etc.
  • Prioritize repairs that could be highly sensitive - including newly purchased items and client escalations
  • Occasionally partner with client relations team on repair inquiries
  • Occasionally ship repairs to external vendors, when required
  • Partner daily with local and global workshops on repair feasibility
  • Identify quality issues and communicate emerging quality issues to managers, to ensure proper handling of repairs
  • Partner with client relations team on irreparable repairs
  • Review incoming stock repairs and ensure product is within selling standards
  • Perform systems steps for stock repairs, including transfer of inventory, resolving claims systematically, etc.
  • Support manager on any emerging assessment activity

Spare Part Processes & Global Repairs

  • Pick and order spare parts for incoming repairs, communicating with our Global teams on orders, deliveries, mis-deliveries, etc.
  • Organize and upload stock replenishment of spare parts in necessary systems
  • Communicate extended lead times to retail teams on repair delays
  • Perform physical audits of repairs with extended lead times
  • Perform spare parts receiving process, matching spare parts with repairs and prioritizing repairs in local workshop
  • Assist with occasional cycle counts related to spare parts inventory, repairs requiring spare parts, and global repair locations
  • Partner with Global repair teams on repair feasibility, ensuring timely responses and handling of claims
  • Communicate with global through GRACE system / emails on issues with repairs or extended lead times
  • Organize shipment of repairs to global once per week, partner with internal and global customs teams on clearance delays
  • Receive global repairs within one-week delivery lead time, communicating repair issues to managers, if necessary, process these repairs back to stores
  • Assist manager with spare parts replenishment, and identifying needs (model stock)

Position Logistics:

  • Mininimum 1-2 years of related experience (operations, retail, client experience role)

  • Work-Place Essential: This role requires 5 days in person office at the Piscataway, New Jersey office.

Compensation:

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $26-$33. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
