WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The QC Analyst operates in full compliance with applicable hygiene, safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and in alignment with the organization's framework, company's procedures, and the defined scope of responsibility the role is accountable for.
The QC Analyst is responsible for evaluating material and product quality by performing various procedures in the chemistry lab. This position interacts with formulation, filling, and packaging personnel in support of those functions in the facility.
This is a 3rd shift position.
YOUR ROLE
  • Primarily performs wet chemistry tests and assays via understanding of laboratory standard operating procedures and instrumentation.
  • Reviews and revises existing testing procedures, instrument procedures, and laboratory documentation procedures as needed.
  • Assists in providing laboratory with an audit ready status as compared to global regulatory agencies as applicable.
  • Performs experimental work under adequate supervision on future products and their respective testing procedures.
  • Records and reports results and significant observations.
  • Performs special testing and assists in instrument and process validations when directed.
  • Assists in training new team members on testing procedures and compliance regulations.
  • Works in a team environment to support internal and external customer requirement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Department Specific/ Non-Essential Functions:
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment.
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.
  • Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
  • Cross-training to perform tasks and roles outside of the primary responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

YOUR BACKGROUND
Education, Experience, and/or Skill:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry (preferred) or other Science with General, Organic, and Analytical chemistry coursework.
  • 2-3 years of Analytical Chemistry testing in an FDA regulated environment (pharmaceutical mfg. preferred)

Cognitive Requirements:
  • Ability to read and understand military time required.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to establish priorities and demonstrate leadership.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and team oriented
  • Effective communication with both team members and other plant support groups.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
