Job description

SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant will use business and accounting skills to maintain and evaluate operational data for the Armstrong - Atlanta/Doraville agency. The Staff Accountant is responsible for agency-level accounting functions, including, but not limited to general accounting, payables & receivables, financial reporting, spend analysis, material & labor variance analysis, billing & invoicing, and forecasting.

Note: This is an on-site position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial responsibilities include General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Invoicing, Revenue Distribution, and Financial Reporting.
  • Ensure all defined work is performed within the timeframes allotted for each functional financial process.
  • Ensure all billing functions including invoicing, revenue distribution, and rating are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives at the Plant level.
  • Background in billing for Military or Government entities strongly preferred.
  • Manage all accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in either accounting or finance required. 
  • Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), required.
  • Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to keep maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 10 pounds.
