Compensation:
$20.00 - $27.00 an hour
Patient Financial Services Systems Specialist - Client, Remote
The PFS Systems Specialist - Client is responsible for creating and maintaining client billing processes as required by Patient Financial Services (PFS) to ensure functional needs are achieved. Client billing support includes reviewing and researching client bill set up requests, as well as maintaining billing schedules. PFS Systems Specialist - Client will also support PFS by acting as primary point of contact with ancillary vendors related to client billing. In addition, PFS Systems Specialist - Client may be required to provide representation related to internal billing/operational/IT initiatives.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide technical assistance and support in adherence to established processes for incoming inquiries and issues related to client billing.
  • Research and resolve PFS client bill issues, with emphasis on root causes and reduction
  • Configures new prices and other business rules
  • Maintain PFS application support table configurations related to client billing.
  • Performs analysis on the system software configuration to optimize and improve the processing system
  • Makes recommendations for system enhancements and new features
  • Assists with user acceptance testing and facilitating billing end-user testing of application releases to verify adherence to requirements
  • Properly escalate unresolved inquiries to next level support in a timely manner
  • Works productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental goals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Knowledge of CPT codes, medical terminology, insurance plans, ICD 10 codes
  • Must have ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with healthcare PFS Application configurations; XIFIN software
  • 1-2+ year of experience in analytic, technical, and reporting experience with health care data
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred, especially genetic billing
  • 2+ years of experience in all aspects of the billing revenue cycle a plus
