Job description

Platform Staffing Group (an STA Group Company) is looking for an R& D Engineer to assist our client in Smart stick V5: Software enhancement, bug fixes, design and implement the groundwork for V6. All candidates will be required to interview onsite and be on-site 100% of the time for this requirement. NO EXCEPTIONS DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT INTERVIEW ONSITE AND be Onsite 100% of the time for this assignment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our client has a project Smart stick V5: Software enhancements, bug fixes and design and implement the groundwork for V6 running in NVIDIA Jetson. You will work on a cross-functional project team to meet customer requirements and expectations. Develop, test, document, and maintain software solutions driven by a seasonal schedule. Develop an understanding of field and lab equipment for R&D. Understand, maintain, and add extra features planned for the current version of the project. Set the groundwork for the next version of the project. Take the role of technology expert on our client’s team

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

5+ Years of experience developing solutions in Python and C++ for embedded systems.

5+ Years of experience with NVIDIA Jetson

Demonstrated Deep knowledge of GStreamer

Ability to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Ability to work safely around common shop equipment.

Demonstrated respect for the environment.

Ability to work as a valued teammate with the highest respect for all people.

Work in a legal and ethical manner.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

Experience developing solutions in C# .NET, Structured Text.

Experience developing solutions for PLC in Structured Text.
