Job description

Job Title: Student Worker - WHFH Social Media Intern

Job Classification: Marketing and Communications, Student

Department: Off Campus Community Service

Hiring Manager: Teri Hall

Work Schedule: 20 hours per week between 8:30 am & 5:00 pm - Monday thru Friday

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Spring

Pay Rate: $12.00/hr

Key Components:

  • In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with functions around marketing trends, communications outreach, creative design and production (print and digital)
     

Job Description:

Responsible for creating engaging content and executing digital strategies to enhance Waco Habitat for Humanity and ReStore's presence on various social media platforms. This position focuses on increasing community engagement, promoting events, and raising awareness about the organization's mission and activities through targeted social media outreach. Will need to assist WHFH in managing & updating social media platforms, develop & schedule creative content including graphics, videos and stories to promote WHFH's work. Will need to help plan and execute social media campaigns for fundraising events and community outreach, track analytics and engagement metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and suggest improvements. Will need to possess a good knowledge of major social media platforms and creation tools and excellent writing, editing and communication skills. Basic Canva skills are preferred and will need to be comfortable with website updates and media publishing. Bi-lingual is preferred but not required. This is an off campus position and
reliable transportation is important. MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK-STUDY.
