Job Title: Freelance Social Media Publisher
Location: Hybrid

Onyx is an online prediction platform poised to shake up the world of sports. Onyx has seen immense growth in user activity and strong engagement across product and marketing, driving continued expansion of the team.
Founded by Harvard graduates with a background at Jane Street, Onyx is headquartered in downtown Manhattan. This is a contracted role.
The Role
As a Freelance Social Media Publisher at Onyx, you'll be driving engagement across multiple social platforms, building narratives around games and trending sports topics, and bringing the Onyx brand into the heart of the biggest sports conversations in real time.
If you're passionate about sports with a knack for generating debate during some of the most pivotal moments on the sports calendar, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
  • Conceptualize, design, and execute high-quality social media content across all relevant social channels
  • Collaborate with the social media team on planning, ideation, and overall workflow
  • Strategize for growth of engagement and following on Instagram and X.
  • Strong knowledge of sports and other trending topics relevant to our industry
  • Responsible for live publishing during key sporting events to capitalize on engagement in social media platforms such as X and Instagram

What We're Looking For
  • Knowledge of what content "works" on X and Instagram
  • Working knowledge of Abode Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) preferred
  • An out-of-the-box thinker who is both highly creative and instantly decisive
  • Experience in live tweeting/live social media event coverage is preferred
  • Experience in sports is preferred
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends
