Position : Linux engineers
Location : Boston, MA
Duration : 6 Months Plus
Top Three skills:
1) Minimum of 8+ years experience as a systems administrator in an enterprise env - more than 500 servers supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux-specifically for provisioning, maintenance, and spinning up new servers in a virtual environment
2) Must have experience administering UNIX Solaris Systems- more provisioning of legacy Solaris in current data center
3) Must have experience with Scripting with Powershell
Job Description:
• 3 or more years working with Linux operating system, installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining, adding storage
• 5 or more years working with AIX operating systems, installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining, adding storage
• Experience with Hardware related to the two operating systems, including IBM Power, Wintel type physical servers used for Linux servers, virtual servers deployed on ESX servers (not hardware per se, but...)
• Advanced subject matter that would be good to have but are not required:
• Redhat clustering, Hitachi storage, Samba, NAS mounts, kickstart, IBM clustering, General Parallel File System, Virtual I/O servers, NIM server, Hardware Management Console, Logical Partitioning, configuring Oracle ASM disks
• Software tools knowledge:
o Remedy, ITSM, BMC Patrol, Blade Logic
