NOW HIRING – Batch Plant Operator

King George, VA
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per Hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

General Labor Services (GLS Staffing) is seeking an experienced Batch Plant Operator for our client in King George, VA. This position is responsible for producing high-quality concrete by accurately batching materials, operating and monitoring the concrete batch plant, and ensuring all products meet company and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor the concrete batch plant according to mix designs and customer specifications
  • Accurately measure and batch cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on batching equipment
  • Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and batch reports
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, quality control personnel, and supervisors
  • Follow all safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures
  • Keep the batch plant clean, organized, and operating efficiently

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a concrete batch plant or similar industrial equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills for batching software and production recordkeeping
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Required Certification

  • Must possess or be able to obtain certification as a Concrete Batcher or Concrete Technician through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) or as required by Virginia regulations
