  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Five years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess accounting technical knowledge including consolidations, inter-company eliminations, foreign currency, and concepts in an international, multi-distribution channel business model. Experience with management and financial statement reporting. 
  • Experience in a multi-national public company is a plus. 
  • Prior supervisory/management experience is required.
  • Public accounting experience is required.
  • Process improvement experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Highly motivated and independent self-starter with a commitment to quality and integrity.
  • Great organizational skills and ability to be flexible with assignments and duties.
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills with an ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to research, read and interpret technical accounting standards, regulations, and rulings required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SharePoint/Teams.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle ERP, and Oracle EPM/Smartview is a plus.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • Limited travel may be possible, as necessary.

  • Manages the international financial reporting function and personnel, with primary responsibility for review and consolidation of monthly financial results from international operations, including preparation of any journal entries needed for consolidation on a monthly basis.
  • Owns the international financial statement close process controls over regional and country variance analyses and related documentation.
  • Collaborates with international regional and country finance teams and other functional leaders to ensure accurate and timely reporting and impacts from related reporting lag.
  • Collaborates with tax and legal teams on legal entity related projects. Coordinates and interacts regularly with intercompany reporting team. 
  • Assists with budgeting and billing of internal expense allocations.
  • Reviews internal expense allocation calculations and entries. Ensures amounts are correctly recorded in business units and corporate entities. Primary point of contact for senior management when questions arise.
  • Performs quarterly consolidated variance analyses procedures.
  • Coordinates the reconciliation of international statutory financial statements to the US GAAP ledger.
  • Frequently interacts with international personnel to understand data anomalies and to create context for senior management.
  • Analyzes foreign exchange fluctuations impacts to both expense and CTA.
  • Prepares journal entries for certain international balances and reserves calculated centrally.
  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial schedules utilizing BlackLine.
  • Cultivates a positive, productive company culture through regular team interactions. Coaches and collaborates to foster strong team dynamics and development.
  • Assists with projects and technical accounting research as needed.
  • Promotes continuous improvement within the organization using risk-based thinking. Focuses on process optimization and team utilization, including offshore resources.
  • Drives manual and system process changes as identified.
  • Maintains effective internal controls over relevant financial reporting processes and enhances existing design, documentation, and operation of controls as needed.
  • Serves as contact for external auditors, on audit related matters for U.S. and international operations.
