Job description

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Software Developer job in Bloomfield, CT. This CONTRACT job is available with one of our key customers in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that integrate with engineering and CAD platforms while supporting business intelligence and database solutions. To be successful in this position, you must have experience with Microsoft .NET development, relational databases, Microsoft Power BI, and CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or Zuken E3. Preference will be given to candidates with experience developing Power Platform solutions and supporting application modernization initiatives.

Software Developer Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications and automation tools that integrate with AutoCAD and Zuken E3 platforms using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Design, develop, and support SQL Server database solutions, including migrations from legacy Microsoft Access databases and Excel VBA applications.
  • Create Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX while integrating data from SQL Server, Oracle, JSON, Excel, and other sources.
  • Develop Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and Power Automate, to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver software solutions while supporting deployments, version upgrades, software validation, and configuration management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience developing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies and Visual Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and relational database design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and dashboard development.
  • Experience with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or Zuken E3 and familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform solutions is highly preferred.
