Job description

DevOps CM Administrator

We are looking for an excellent individual contributor to help evolve our division's infrastructure and application change management program. The DevOps CM Administrator will be the technical expert on the emerging technology stack. The individual will assist in developing the solutions, operationalizing the new technologies, and helping drive adoption across the organization. They will collaborate with multiple teams on application release events as well as maintain tools for software builds, promotions, and deployment.

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, DevSecOps is critical as well as traditional change management roles as we transition to a new software stack and emerging technologies.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and subject matter expertise in the area of DevOps automation
  • Develop and promote best practices for DevOps and secure CI/CD
  • Drive adoption of DevOps and DevSecOps across the organization
  • Evaluate new versions and alternative solutions to existing technologies
  • Develop new change management processes and operational excellence
  • Evaluate existing processes/tools and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Create/maintain training documentation
  • Create and maintain change management tool maintenance schedules
  • Manage application release events
  • Assist with post-implementation release reviews for improvement opportunities
  • Participate in all architecture meetings to drive outcomes supporting the emerging tech
  • Maintain compliance with audit controls and security standards

Requirements:

  • Self-driven, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and technologies such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and SonarQube
  • Working experience with UNIX shell, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Experience in conversion to cloud (Public or Private) and containerization
  • Experience with Ansible is preferred
  • Experience with Groovy is a plus

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree preferred within a technology discipline
  • 7-10 years of technology experience in escalating roles of responsibility
  • 5 of those years with hands on experience with DevOps CI/CD administration and configuration management/release engineering

Top three must-haves:

  • Hands on experience with CID/CD tools and technologies such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and SonarQube
