About this Position
The Messaging Engineer will be responsible for supporting and evolving Primerica's enterprise messaging platforms, including Exchange Online, Zimbra and the potential new Email solution environment. This role will play a key part in the evaluation and potential transition from current solutions to new ones, working with vendors professional services to ensure successful migration and operational readiness.
The salary range for this role is $120K - $130K.
This is a hybrid: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship, now or in the future.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Support implementation and configuration of email platform
  • Participate in the vendor evaluations and POC for potential replacement of current environment
  • Participate in migration activities including testing and validation
  • Manage Exchange Online, Zimbra and New environments
  • Configure email security
  • Support identity integration with Active Directory / Azure AD / E-Directory
  • Provide escalation support for complex issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to assess vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation efforts based on risk, and ensure all systems remain compliant with security and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams involved in patch management activities.
  • Stay updated on emerging vulnerabilities, industry best practices, and new technologies to continually enhance the patch management program.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5-8+ years of experience with enterprise messaging platforms
  • Experience in email migrations
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem and/or online)
  • Strong knowledge of email routing and security
  • Experience with SPAM, auditing, eDiscovery, and email DLP rules and policies, including troubleshooting and tuning.
  • Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in email system performance.
  • Knowledge of Zoom Platform will be a differential
