What We're Looking For:
The Sales Engineer will be accountable for supporting Senior Sales Engineers and Account Managers specifically within Zebra's Healthcare vertical. This role's primary focus will be to support the Sr Sales Engineers with defining and leading the strategic technical direction for the Healthcare enterprise accounts. The position will have direct access to the latest technology from Zebra Technologies and its vendor partner community. This role will develop strong relationships with the sales, engineering, and product management teams to support executing the technology strategy for the Healthcare enterprise accounts. With access to industry experts and engineering peers, this will fuel self-development and career growth within Zebra Technologies. Invaluable opportunity for someone newer in their sales engineering career to learn from the ground up.
This remote role is required to be based in the east coast with the ability to travel ~ 50% to cover the following territory: NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC. No relocation assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge/Expertise
    • Technical Skills - Uses moderate domain/solutions knowledge
    • Knowledge of Zebra - Utilizes solid understanding of all Products/Services in business
    • Sales Skills - Applies Solution Selling concepts to customer situations; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Managerial Skills - Understands policies and practices related to role and shares ideas for improvement
    • Business Acumen - Understands and explains how Zebra solutions can help customer's business results; obtains profitable revenue growth via value proposition vs. competition
    • Market/customer Knowledge - Uses full knowledge of customer's business and market economics/trends to position effectively versus competition
  • Solution Complexity/Strategic Thinking
    • Nature of Problems Solved - Solves routine problems of moderate complexity (e.g. verifying technical compatibility) at the customer level
    • Role in Addressing Problems - Understands and resolves problems with support from technical resources
    • Complexity of Solutions - Typically medium complexity (e.g. value proposition vs. competition), but may have some complex projects that require unique coordination of technical resources
  • Freedom to Act

    • Required Knowledge of Customer - Operational strategies for success and competitors

    • Business and Financial Impact - Responsible for individual revenue attainment with established prices and personal expenses
    • Relative Size and Scope - Moderate to average individual quota size for business and like roles

Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 + years of relevant experience working in sales engineering/pre-sales or an applicable technical-related role (software development, application development or similar)
  • Must be technically savvy, but with a sales mentality
  • Must reside in the east coast with the ability to travel ~ 50%

Preferred Requirements:
  • Some exposure in a sales-related role highly preferred
  • General understanding of networking architecture and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to B2B customers with strong communication skills
  • Experience in the healthcare field
  • Experience in mobile client platforms
  • Expertise in security schemes, architectures, and implementations

Pay Range:
$78,560.00 - $117,840.00 Annual
Incentive Compensation:
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role an opportunity to earn variable compensation in the form of commission for achieving quota, at 25% , in accordance with the terms of the applicable sales incentive plan.

In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
