Job description

Adjunct Instructor of Web Development (HTML, CSS & JavaScript) The Mentor/Instructor works closely with a small classroom of students across the length of the program, and is charged with both with the students' educational outcomes as well as the strength of the classroom community. They watch over a class of students in the midst of a career transition and ensure on a day-to-day basis that everyone is learning rapidly and is on track for success. The course is part-time, 60 hrs, nights and weekends.

Duties: Lecture Q&A Office hours Individual instruction and tutoring Circulate among students Review student progress across several indicators Build and execute student action plans to ensure that nobody falls through the cracks Qualifications Mid-level software engineer Ability to model student progress and remove educational roadblocks Empathy and charisma Passion for education and service Expert-level JavaScript knowledge strongly preferred Preferred, not required 2-3yrs + Instructor or training experience.
