Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $28/hour - 20 hours a week, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

JOB SUMMARY
The "Date Safe" Teen Dating Violence Educator is responsible for providing education and prevention programming for teens affected by dating violence and sexual violence.
This position works closely with youth, schools, community organizations, parents, and service providers to promote healthy relationships, increase awareness, and connect young people with resources and support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
โ€ข Experience working with adolescents and young adults.
โ€ข Knowledge of teen dating violence, domestic violence, trauma-informed care, and youth development principles.
โ€ข Strong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
โ€ข Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual presentation platforms.
Preferred
โ€ข Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
โ€ข Experience in dating and sexual violence prevention education
โ€ข Experience working in school or community-based settings.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Education & Prevention
โ€ข Develop and facilitate age-appropriate workshops, presentations, and educational programs on:
Healthy relationships - Teen dating violence and sexual assault prevention/awareness
Consent and boundaries - Digital safety and cyber abuse - Bystander intervention
Resources - Develop school-based community partnerships
โ€ข Deliver presentations in schools, after-school programs, community centers, and youth
organizations.
โ€ข Deliver virtual and in-person awareness, education, and prevention programming to teens and
parents/caregivers to support early intervention.
โ€ข Create and distribute educational materials, resources, and social media content targeting youth
audiences.
โ€ข Participate in awareness campaigns and community outreach events.
Advocacy & Support Services
โ€ข Provide referrals to assist youth in accessing community resources, counseling, legal services,
healthcare, and other support systems.
Community Collaboration
โ€ข Build and maintain partnerships with schools, law enforcement, social service agencies,
healthcare providers, and community organizations.
โ€ข Support outreach efforts to underserved and culturally diverse populations.
Program Administration
โ€ข Maintain accurate records, program data, and reports.
โ€ข Track program outcomes and assist with grant reporting requirements.
โ€ข Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and supervision sessions.
โ€ข Stay informed on best practices, emerging trends, and laws related to teen dating violence
prevention and victim advocacy.
โ€ข Maintain confidentiality and uphold all YWCA policies and procedures.
โ€ข Engage in self-care practices to reduce the impact of vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Working Conditions
โ€ข Travel to schools, community centers, and partner organizations may be required.
โ€ข Some evening and occasional weekend hours may be necessary for events and programming.
โ€ข Ability to facilitate presentations both in-person and virtually.
