Position Overview:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a defined territory of dental and oral surgery customers through proactive relationship building, product education, and consultative sales. This role focuses on expanding business within existing accounts while identifying opportunities to win new customers and increase product adoption across key categories including pharmaceuticals, surgical supplies, and biomaterials. This is a phone-based inside sales role responsible for managing and growing a defined territory of dental and oral surgery customers

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and motivated by performance metrics while maintaining a strong customer-first mindset.

Who you'll work with:
  • Reports to the Inside Sales Manager.
  • Works closely with Customer Service, Operations, and Product teams.
  • Collaborates with territory partners and internal stakeholders to support customer success.

What You'll Do:
Territory & Account Management
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of dental and oral surgery accounts within an assigned territory
  • Maintain regular communication with customers through phone, email, and virtual meetings
    • Build strong relationships with surgeons, office managers, and purchasing staff
    • Ensure customers are supported with product information, pricing guidance, and order support

Sales Growth & Business Development
  • Identify opportunities to expand business across pharmaceuticals, infection control, surgical supplies, and regenerative products
  • Prospect for new customers and re-engage lost or inactive accounts
  • Recommend new products, promotions, and solutions that improve customer operations
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue, activity, and account growth targets within an assigned territory

CRM & Sales Activity Management
  • Document customer interactions and account information within CRM systems
  • Maintain consistent call activity and customer outreach to drive engagement
  • Analyze account performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and sales initiatives

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years minimum sales experience, progressive tele-sales experience selling products and services in a business-to-business environment or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen to and seek out solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven ability at cross-selling and up-selling; demonstrated experience increasing revenue within existing accounts by broadening and deepening solution placement.
  • Ability to learn technical product knowledge and confidently discuss solutions with dental professionals.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM preferred.
  • Good communication skills; both written and verbal.

Technical Skills
  • CRM experience preferred (HubSpot or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with ERP or order management systems is a plus
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to learn product knowledge across pharmaceuticals, supplies, and biomaterials

Compensation Range: $24.00 - $26.44/hr + Commissions
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, the compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.
Physical Requirements/Working Locations -
Office/Remote Environment
This position is based in an office environment and is primarily sedentary in nature. It requires regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Some roles may involve wearing a headset and sustained computer use for 8 or more hours per day. Employees may be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, and occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
