Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Founding Growth Lead - this is an onsite position in New York. Salary range: 100-150K USD base plus benefits plus equity.

We handle the boring stuff (printing, postage, mailing) while you focus on making someone's day with a surprise in their mailbox. Because in a world of endless notifications, nothing hits different quite like real mail.

About this role

We are looking for a Founding Growth Lead with 2-5 years of experience to be a scrappy, inventive partner to the CEO in figuring out how we grow. You're someone with a marketing brain and a founder's spirit — you've either made something grow yourself or learned closely from someone who did. You'll identify the channels worth trying, invent the plays worth running, and execute them end to end. This is not paid acquisition or attribution dashboards — it's subversive, creative, organic growth at a consumer company people already love. You need unrelenting drive and a willingness to take big swings in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Identifying and testing unconventional growth channels — events, popups, stunts, partnerships, creator collabs, referral loops, and hacks that other brands aren't doing
  • Strategizing which plays are worth the bet and building conviction around why, then personally executing them end to end (booking the space, closing the creator, getting it live)
  • Sourcing, closing, and managing creator and brand partnership pipelines to drive organic distribution
  • Working in lockstep with the Creative Lead to bring each growth play to life visually and emotionally
  • Reading what actually moved — installs, first sends, shares, saves — and feeding that back into the next round of experiments
Requirements:
2 - 6 years of experience in organic growth or marketing at a consumer startup (Mandatory)
Grew a consumer product organically (not paid) (Mandatory)
Executed scrappy stunts, events, or popups end-to-end (Mandatory)
Sourced and managed creator or brand partnerships (Nice-to-have)
Top 20 school (Nice-to-have)
Can point to specific organic growth metrics they moved (Mandatory)
Experience identifying and exploiting underused channels (Nice-to-have)
You've done something incredible before - demonstrating spikiness / high slope (Mandatory)
