Position Overview

As a key member of our team, the Yard Supervisor directs the activities of Yard Associates and plays a hands-on role in all yard activities. The Yard Supervisor helps organize product for deliveries to job sites, monitors all activities for safety compliance, promotes stellar customer service, and maintains the overall organization of the branch.

What you'll do:

  • Direct, coach and mentor a team of Yard Associates to achieve high performance and help facilitate their long-term career development at SiteOne.
  • Ensure yard safety excellence – Create an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training and executing policies.
  • Ensure loading/unloading excellence.
  • Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
  • Train and coach all branch associates in customer value best practices and facilitate a culture whereby every team member is obsessed with customer success.
  • Safely operate equipment and establish repair/service priorities for all equipment.

Skills We Are Seeking
  • 1+ year(s) of experience leading teams
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Must be safety-minded and aware of applicable safety requirements relative to equipment used
  • Must be customer-focused and an enthusiastic, dependable team player
  • Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
  • Experience in landscape, nursery, hardscape, irrigation, or forestry industry a plus
  • Experience operating equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, or front-end loader also a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Compensation Range: $23.00-27.00 / hour
