Construction Estimator - Insurance Restoration
In Office - Indianapolis, IN
Balance Claims is seeking a Construction Estimator to support the development of accurate and complete project scopes within the insurance restoration process.
This role is responsible for reviewing project documentation, building detailed Xactimate estimates, and preparing clear summaries to support both clients and internal teams. The quality and accuracy of the estimate directly impacts downstream file performance and overall project outcomes.
You will work on a variety of project types including residential and commercial properties, covering both interior and exterior scopes related to storm, water, fire, and other insurance-related losses.
What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Review client-provided documentation (photos, measurements, carrier reports, etc.) to understand project scope
  • Create detailed and accurate Xactimate estimates with a focus on completeness and consistency, including existing components and items required by building codes and manufacturer installation requirements
  • Prepare clear written summaries outlining the estimate scope for both the client and internal teams
  • Complete estimate revisions as needed based on updated information or feedback
