Job description

Forklift Operator - Putaway Rider Reach Outbound - 1st Shift

In this role, the Replenishment Rider Reach Forklift operator safely replenishes forward pick bin locations in the warehouse and picks customer orders via pick list. The Replenishment RR operator uses motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity.

Essential Functions:

  • Able to work 1st shift hours from 6:30AM - 3:00PM with opportunity for overtime.

  • Safely replenishes forward pick bin locations in the warehouse

  • Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment, specifically the Stand-Up Rider Reach Forklift in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods.

  • Efficiently picking orders and assembling product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damage

  • Using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment for picking, processing and put-away functions, as required

  • Follow the Saint-Gobain Golden Rules of safety and all OSHA standards, reporting concerns to the supervisor

  • Must wear all required PPE and follow company entanglement policy

  • Meet standards of productivity and accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction and timely shipment

  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Able to work 1st shift hours 6:30AM - 3:00PM Mon - Fri with opportunity for over-time

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in a warehouse setting in lieu of education

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability of operate a Rider Reach Forklift (RR) or willingness to learn

  • -Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and pivot as necessary

  • Willingness to work in a non-temperature-controlled area, both hot and cold as trailers are at outside temperature when pulled in for loading or unloading

  • Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly-

  • Must display a high level of accuracy, initiative and dependability with a good attendance record

  • Ability to follow directions-

  • Ability to pass OSHA approved Jungheinrich material handling equipment certification

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations

  • Ability to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling and crouching

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently up to 50 lbs occasionally

Preferred:

  • 1 + Year Relevant work experience in a warehouse setting in lieu of HS Diploma/GED

  • Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial

  • Ability to safely operate a Ricer Counter Balance Forklift (RC)
