Job description

About Alta Peak Holdings

Alta Peak Holdings partners with leading roofing and exterior home services companies to help founders scale what they have built without sacrificing their legacy. We are a long-term owner and operator, not a traditional private equity firm.
We work side by side with local leadership teams and bring operational expertise, patient capital, and a practical growth-oriented playbook. Our focus is on investing in people, leveraging technology, empowering teams, and modernizing operations to create durable, long-term success.
Alta Peak operates roofing and exterior services businesses across Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee, with continued expansion underway.
The Role

Alta Peak is seeking an experienced Insurance Restoration Estimator & Supplement Specialist to lead estimate writing, supplement strategy, and carrier-facing claim execution across our platform.
This is not a traditional billing or back-office role. This position sits at the center of the insurance claims process, owning the accuracy, completeness, and recoverability of residential property claims.
You will be responsible for translating field inspections, production scope, and documentation into carrier-compliant Xactimate estimates, identifying missed or underpaid items, and driving supplements through approval to maximize claim value.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in roofing or restoration claims, is highly proficient in Xactimate, and is comfortable working directly with adjusters to ensure fair and complete settlements.
What Youll Own

Estimate Writing & Scope Development

  • Write detailed, line-item Xactimate estimates based on scope of loss, photos, and field documentation
  • Translate inspection reports and production scope into accurate, carrier-compliant estimates
  • Ensure estimates reflect the full scope of necessary repairs, not partial or underwritten scopes
  • Continuously review and refine estimates to align with carrier standards and local market pricing

Supplement Strategy & Execution

  • Identify missing, underpaid, or denied scope items and build fully supported supplements
  • Prepare and submit supplement packages with proper documentation, justification, and pricing rationale
  • Drive supplements from submission through approval, including revisions and re-submissions
  • Actively work to maximize claim recovery while maintaining credibility with carriers

Carrier & Adjuster Coordination

  • Communicate directly with insurance adjusters and carriers to support estimate approvals and revisions
  • Defend scope decisions using documentation, photos, and Xactimate line item logic
  • Resolve discrepancies between carrier estimates and actual scope of work
  • Support timely claim resolution and reduce cycle times across all operating companies

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner closely with sales reps, project managers, and production teams to validate scope accuracy
  • Ensure field teams are capturing the documentation required to support supplements and claim recovery
  • Provide guidance on best practices for inspections, photos, and scope notes

Process & Platform Standardization

  • Help build and standardize best-in-class estimating and supplement workflows across multiple markets
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimate quality, supplement success rates, and cycle time
  • Support implementation of systems that improve claim visibility, tracking, and accountability

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience writing Xactimate estimates for residential property insurance claims
  • Proven track record of successfully writing and negotiating supplements
  • Strong understanding of roofing and/or exterior restoration scope of work
  • Deep familiarity with carrier guidelines, claim workflows, and adjuster expectations
  • High attention to detail and ability to audit estimates for completeness and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with adjusters

Preferred Experience

  • Roofing, exterior construction, or insurance restoration industries
  • Experience in storm damage, hail, or wind-related claims
  • Familiarity with Symbility and/or ServiceTitan
  • Experience working in a multi-location or high-growth environment

What Success Looks Like

  • Estimates consistently reflect full and accurate scope of loss
  • Supplements are approved quickly and at high success rates
  • Reduced revenue leakage from missed or underpaid items
  • Faster claim cycle times and improved cash collection
  • Standardized estimating practices implemented across all markets
  • Strong alignment between field teams, production, and claims

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $60,000 - $90,000 based on experience
  • Performance-based incentives tied to claim outcomes
  • Healthcare and 401(k) benefits
  • Generous PTO
  • Long-term career growth within Alta Peak Holdings
