Würth Baer Supply Company is looking for a permanent addition to our team at our location in WEST HAVEN, CT. We are targeting a CDL-B Driver to perform customer deliveries.

Location:

Permanent Role:

  • This is a direct hire to our company.
  • No staffing agencies are involved in the hiring process.
  • Steady, year-round work.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday schedule
  • 8:00am to 4:30pm ET or until completion of daily route
  • No nights - No weekends

Compensation:

  • CDL-B drivers $25/HR
  • CDL-A drivers $27/HR

$2000 Performance Bonus:

  • $1000 after 90 days (3 months) and $1000 after 180 days (6 months)
  • Paid for drivers in good standing with the company
  • Consistent on-time arrival to work, good attendance, good attitude, work safety, and work quality are all factored into the evaluation of being in good standing

Truck Type:

  • 28-Foot Curtain Side Truck
  • Automatic Transmission

Duties:

  • Load truck with sit-down propane forklift and by hand as needed with materials such as drawer slides, hinges, door and cabinetry handles, hand/power tools, sandpaper goods, paint/stain, plywood, cabinetry, synthetic countertop materials, and laminate goods.
  • Secure load to truck by tying down to ascertain safe travel between stops
  • Pass goods to customers by hand weighing 40lbs to 80lbs as needed
  • Deliver to between 5 and 10 stops daily – State of CT + Southern NY and MA
  • Delivery area may include Northern, Southern, and Eastern Pennsylvania. Occasionally including parts of Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate as needed with management pertaining to customer questions and concerns
  • Utilize Samsara Electronic Logging Device (ELD) on company cell phone to perform pre-trip inspections and demonstrate DOT-compliant on-duty status, etc. in lieu of paper logs. Cameras facing in the cabin towards the driver as well as on the road ahead to protect the company in driver in the event of any incidents.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable wearing a company uniform and protective footwear (composite or steel toe)
  • Safe Driving Record (MVR)
  • Must have CDL-B or CDL-A
  • Must have Valid DOT Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate)
