JOB DESCRIPTION - CDL-B LOCAL TRUCK DRIVER - SYRACUSE, NY

Job Type:

Starting Pay:

  • $25.00/HR (non-negotiable CDL-B rate) - BIWEEKLY PAY
  • If you have a CDL-A - we can start you at $26.00/HR
  • Performance Bonus: In addition to the benefits below, drivers receive a $2000 performance bonus (taxable). Half at 3 months (90 days) and half at 6 months (180 days) for being in good standing with the company.
  • Good Standing Defined: Consistent on-time arrival, safe operation and conduct, good attitude, good attendance, adherence to principles in company handbook and expectations set by management.

Location:

  • Würth Baer Supply Company - 5928 Court Street Rd #3, Syracuse, NY 13206

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm ET

Number of Daily Stops:

  • 2 to 8

Loading Process:

  • Driver uses sit-down forklift at warehouse

Unloading Process:

  • Assist customers by hand as needed.
  • Some will use forklifts to unload.
  • Must be physically able to lift 70lbs unassisted.

Truck Type:

  • 28-foot curtain side truck

Transmission Type:

  • Automatic

License Requirement:

  • CDL-B or CDL-A

MVR:

  • Must have a safe and acceptable driving record free of suspensions, DUIs, egregious incidents, etc.

DOT Med Cert:

  • Must have a current and valid DOT Med Cert

DOT Clearinghouse:

  • Must be registered. Will not sponsor SAP return-to-work program.

  • Cabinetry Hardware (drawer slides/hinges/handles), lumber, PPE, laminate countertop materials, plywood/laminates (“sheet goods”), cabinetry, paint/stain (AKA “finish and coatings”), fasteners, sandpaper goods (“abrasives”), sinks, lighting, woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Those are some of the main categories of goods.
