Job Summary:

The West Texas A&M College of Engineering invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin fall of 2026. The preferred candidates holds a doctoral degree in mathematics.

Work Performed:

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in mathematics and/or mathematical statistics.
  • Develop a scholarly research program incorporating graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Serve as an academic advisor to students in the major.
  • Assist college leadership in driving curriculum design and development.
  • Active participation on discipline, college and/or university committees.
  • Active engagement in professional development activities.
  • Be involved in education outreach activities.
  • Willingness to assume other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or interest in K-12 mathematics education.
