Work Performed:

  • The Part-Time Instructor of Dance will teach courses in support of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance degree with both performing and education emphases, choreograph for faculty concerts, supervise student concerts, and assist with other program needs.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and at least 18 hours in content area

  • Experience teaching ballet, modern dance, improvisation, and choreography.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA in Dance

  • Experience teaching ballet, modern dance, improvisation, and choreography at the university level.

  • Experience teaching theory courses online.

  • Demonstrated ability to teach in other selected areas from: dance history, teaching methods, partnering (ballet or contemporary), jazz, tap, musical theatre dance, and somatics (prefer certification).
