Job description

Overview / Job Summary:

The Adjunct Faculty Instructor is responsible for teaching Short Term Health courses, providing subject matter expertise, adhering to lesson plans, meeting course objectives, and maintaining professional academic standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality instruction in Short Term Health programs to promote student learning and engagement.
  • Supervising and managing students in classroom or lab settings to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Keeping students informed about course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance expectations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve curricula that meet the objectives of the program.
  • Ensuring compliance with WSU Tech's academic standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education:

  • PN Technical Certificate required for LPN, Associates degree required or BSN for RN.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in the health care field, particularly in short-term health education required.
  • Previous teaching or training experience in adult education preferred.
  • Current certifications related to health care professions, such as CPR, First Aid, or specific clinical skills, are an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and willingness to utilize hybrid teaching methods as needed.
