Key Responsibilities: This position is responsible for research pertaining to current client news and events, writing press releases and media advisories, and assisting with client accounts as needed. This position requires an exceptional work ethic, as well as professional writing and research abilities.

  • Research, write, edit, and fact-check press releases, statements, and editorials
  • Develop and curate customized media contact lists, tailored for each client’s location audience and campaigns
  • Identify opportunities in the news cycle
  • Collaborate and brainstorm alongside a team to assign tasks to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Master and utilize company PR tools (such as Cision and Meltwater)
  • Create analysis for client/media interactions and circulation
  • Research, establish, and develop media relationships
  • Present superb written material by requested deadlines
  • Increase media interactions with client press releases measured by company analytics
  • Other activities as assigned by manager

Requirements:
  • Currently working towards BSc/BA or recent graduate in Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Background in researching, writing and editing publications
  • Interest in different industries, particularly in Faith, Business, and Government
  • Excellent writing skills in multiple formats
  • Presentation skills
  • Project and Time management
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Results driven
  • Knowledge of AP Style

Compensation: Interns will be compensated $2,500 for the summer
